Although aztec people were very religous, they also had a big impact on the arts. Some of the many aztec craftsman made very luxary items, such as headdresses and mats from the feathers of rare quetzal. A quetzal is a large bird that has very long, very beautiful tail feathers that were worth alot in their time. Luxary items were not only headdresses, but things were not only made from feathers. Masks and jewelry were made from jade, turqoise, and many other types of precious stones. There were many smiths that worked in gold and silver and many herbalists that made medicine form plants. Carpenters, woodworkers, and potters also had large impacts on the aztec world.
